Heat lead series, 2-1
With the absence of the injured Chris Bosh, the Big 3-led Miami Heat have been downsized to the Big 2 and so far, well, it's working. The Heat steamrolled past the Indiana Pacers (without Bosh for most of the series) in Round 2 and have a 2-1 lead on the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals. Tonight, the Big 2 (LeBron James and Dwyane Wade) look to put a hurtin' on the Celtics (in Boston) and take a commanding 3-1 lead in the series. Boston, however, has the weapons. What was suppose to be the "Big 3 Show" has evolved into the Big 4 as point guard Rajon Rondo has become a legitimate superstar-caliber player over the past few years. Heck, he's even just as important to the Celtics as the Big 3 themselves.
Rondo is the straw that stirs the Celtics drink. He's the compass that navigates the Boston ship and there's no question he's the anchor that makes the Big 3, well, the Big 3.
In Rondo, The Kevin Garnet-Paul Pierce-Ray Allen Show has a party crasher of the good kind and no doubt they are ecstatic about it in Boston.
So tonight the war continues. Will the Big 2 prevail? Or will the Big 4 even the series and make it a "whole new ballgame"? We'll soon find out--
