Will they take the preordained No. 1, Stanford QB Andrew Luck? Or will they trade the pick since they already have the great Peyton Manning at the helm?
Are the Colts willing to pay Luck a ton of money to hold a clipboard for a few years or do they trade Manning and take their chances with the talented but unproven kid?
I've heard every possible argument from those on the Luck bandwagon, but personally, if I'm the Colts, I'd trade the pick and get a ton of draft picks and players for it. They would have to be crazy not to go with Manning for the next 3 or 4 years. What if they trade him and Luck winds up being the next JaMarcus Russell, Tim Couch, David Carr, etc., etc., etc.?
As someone who gave up jumping on bandwagons a long time ago, I honestly don't see the difficulty in the decision. Stick with what has worked handsomely for the past 13 years. Yes he's 35, but the dude still has 3 or 4 solid years left in him. Do yourselves a favor Indy, keep Peyton in his place!
