What's Wrong With Mark Cuban?

Drew Litton/Rocky Mountain News
The Western Conference Finals between the Dallas Mavericks and the Oklahoma City Thunder has some intriguing story-lines. Will the Mavericks' experience be too much for the inexperienced Thunder? On the flip side, with experience comes age, so will the aging Mavericks be in for a rude awakening against the youthful and explosive Thunder? How will the 38-year old Jason Kidd be able to keep up with the young and extremely talented Russell Westbrook, who is 16 years his junior? And not to mention, Dirk Nowitzki and Kevin Durant are both in da house. So lots of good stuff in this series, no doubt.

But another interesting component has to do with the never-lost-for-words owner of the Mavericks, Mark Cuban. Cuban has been curiously mum during these playoffs. So will the eccentric Dallas owner break his self-imposed silence or is it a strategic move on his part to keep the focus off of himself?

Cuban was one of only two NBA owners to vote against the Super Sonics moving from Seattle and becoming the OKC Thunder, so it's shocking that he hasn't taken a least one shot at the team that now dwells in Sooner country against his blessings.

I highly doubt he's trying to keep the focus off of himself (that would be blasphemous) so I expect Mark to take a shot or two at the Thunder during this series. Or at least talk trash if things don't go Dallas' way as the series progresses.

And why?

Because it's just in his nature.

  1. I was wondering the same thing myself, but I believe he will make an "appearance". Great cartoon

  2. Indeed Mike. I think so too. And yeah, the cartoon is hilarious.

  3. Absolutley love the Cartoon!

  4. Maybe he's got cancer. He looks like a chemo patient on steroids (been there done that)
