King LeBron James: Still Da Man!

The Lord of No Rings: The Return of the King

The "King" LeBron James return to Cleveland was a no contest.

LeBron and the Miami Heat spanked the Cleveland Cavaliers 118-90 in the most hostile of hostile environments. The King got booed from the disgruntled Cleveland fans from the moment he walked into the arena until the moment he walked out but it didn't seem to phase him. LeBron dominated the game with 38 points-- 24 in the third quarter alone which blew the game open and quieted the crowd somewhat.

His 38 points were the most ever by a former MVP returning to his old stomping grounds.

At first LeBron seemed bothered by the booing and the heckling from the crowd but once he took over the game he seemed to be relishing the moment. After the game, The King was his usual humble self and praised the fans and his seven years in Cleveland. But I'm sure in the back of his mind he was saying, "QUIT WHINING AND GET OVER IT!"

To be honest the whole LeBron-Cleveland drama reminds me of the Geico commercial with the therapist/drill sergeant.

Oh and speaking of that commercial--

All in all, it was just another chapter in the unwritten book "The Doldrums of Cleveland Sports"-- a book, which I might add, is getting pretty thick.
