The streak is over!

Brett Favre's streak of 297 consecutive starts (one of the most monumental accomplishments in sports history) has finally come to an end.

As I write this, Tarvaris Jackson is starting and leading the Minnesota Vikings against the New York Giants.

Not even mother nature could help Favre continue the streak. A huge snowstorm collapsed the roof of the Metrodome forcing the postponement of the game until today. But the extra day was not enough for Favre's injured shoulder and he was declared inactive. Streak over.
