Game 3: Yankees 6 - Twins 1

What is there to say?

We can analyze the Twins-Yankees mystery all we want but, at the end of the day, the Twins just don't have "the juice" to beat the Yankees.

For the Twins, 2 playoff streaks continue, but at least, one has ended.

Streak 1: They have now lost 12 consecutive playoff games. They are one short of the major league postseason record of 13, set by the Boston Red Sox from 1986-1995.

Streak 2: They have now lost 9 consecutive postseason games to the Yankees. They are now 2-12 against the Yankees since 2003, all first round losses. Their two victories have come at Yankee Stadium, and were led by, drum roll please, Johan Santana.

Streak 3: At last, their most unusual major league record has ended. They had lost 8 in a row to the Yankees while leading in all 8 games. At least in consecutive loss # 9, the Yankees scored first and led in the entire game.

In the end, the Twins are a very good team. Why they can't muster any postseason wins against the Yankees is a head-scratcher? I honestly believe the theory that the Yankees have gotten inside their heads.

The "David vs. Goliath" thing has taken on a life of it's own.

No doubt!
