Mike Vick Gets the Starting Gig!

It didn't take Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid long to come to his senses.

After announcing that Kevin Kolb would be the Eagles starter, regardless of how well Michael Vick has played, Reid has changed his mind.

I think everyone on the planet, including Reid, noticed how well Vick played in the six quarters after Kolb's concussion.

And now Reid has announced that Vick will be the starting QB on Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

And this was not an injury decision, it was a football decision.

Said Reid, “When someone is playing at the level Michael Vick is playing, you have to give him an opportunity. This isn’t about Kevin Kolb’s play. You’re talking about Michael Vick as one the best quarterbacks in the NFL right now.”

He continued, “Michael did an exceptional job and my job is to evaluate the players. It’s my obligation to make the proper decision."

"His accelerated play was brilliant. This is what I think is right. He’s back and maybe even a little better.”

Good move, Andy!
