Kim Returns!

2010 U.S. Open

The other semifinal is in the books!

No. 2 Kim Clijsters has defeated No. 3 Venus Williams (4-6, 7-6, 6-4) and is returning to the U.S. Open Final to defend her title against Vera Zvonareva.

Clijsters seems to love the hard courts of New York as she has now won 20 consecutive matches dating back to 2005.

In fact, Clijsters has been on an incredible and odd run at the U.S. Open since 2003.

She made the Final in 2003 (lost to Justine Henin); She did not play in 2004, due to injuries; Then she came back in 2005 and WON THE TITLE; Then she did not play in 2006, 2007 and 2008, due to injuries and the birth of her child; Then she came back in 2009 and WON THE TITLE.

And now she's back in The Final in 2010 seeking her third U.S. Open title. Incredible!
