I must say I was a bit surprised when I heard the news-- but after further brainstorming, I realized it actually makes good business sense. The 76ers (5-14) are having a pathetic season and attendance is low and getting worse with every game. At this point, who but A.I. can fill seats in Philly? I'm sure he still has flocks of loyal fans in the City of Brotherly Love.
So from a business standpoint, I can see why the 76ers made the move. But from a dignity standpoint? Well-- that's a whole different issue.
To bring A.I. back, after all the bad blood that lead to him being run out of town, lets just say, neither the Sixers or Iverson have any shame.
I guess they were made for each other.
