The Angels Find Their Way

Angels Win!

Solo Act!

The Angels gave up 4 solo home runs to the Yankees-- and the key word is "SOLO." The Yankees are going to hit home runs (244 during the regular season). So the key is to limit the damage and give yourself a chance. Jered Weaver and company did just that by pitching brilliantly with men on base, setting up the dramatic win later in extra innings.

Yankees lead series, 2-1

Andy Pettitte Stares Down Vlad!

Vlad The Impaler!

Vladimir Guerrero goes 2 for 4 with 2 RBI, 1 Run Scored and 1 BB. His 2-run home run with two outs in the bottom of the sixth inning tied the game 3-3, but more importantly gave new life to the Angels and quite possibly changed the complexion of the series. If the Angels go on to win the series, Vlad's home run could be known as "The Shot Heard Around LA."

Yankees manager Joe Girardi, inexplicably pulls pitcher Dave Robertson for Alfredo Aceves with two outs in the bottom of the 11th inning. Aceves gives up a single to Howie Kendrick and a double to Jeff Mathis, scoring Kendrick all the way from first. Why Joe? Robertson looked like he had the situation under control.

Angels win in dramatic fashion, 5-4. But more importantly, they seemed to have found their way and may have a new lease on life.

This may get good!
